What is the Breakout Card?

The Breakout Card is a payment card linked to your checking account. There are no enrollment fees, annual fees or finance charges. By using it at participating merchants, you earn points redeemable toward valuable rewards including cash back and sweepstakes entries.

Is this a bank debit card?

No. The Breakout Card is not a bank issued card; it works like an electronic check. When you authorize a purchase, your Breakout Card, PIN and checking account are validated by our system. After approval, the purchase amount is debited from your checking account.

How does my checking account link to the Breakout Card?

When you enroll in the program you provide us with your checking account and bank routing numbers along with other information. Our system instantly validates and securely links this information to the card number. Once your enrollment is approved your card is ready to use immediately. No credit checks, no challenge deposits, no hassle.

Are there any fees associated with the Breakout Card?

There are no enrollment fees, annual fees or finance charges associated with the Breakout Card. However, non-sufficient funds (NSF) charges may be assessed if funds are not available in your checking account to cover the purchase amount when the withdrawal occurs. Your bank may also assess NSF charges, depending on your account terms. Depending on program you may also lose access to benefits, rewards or discounts if a debit transaction is returned unpaid for any reason from your bank. How do I use the Breakout Card?

Using the Breakout Card is easy. Simply select the Debit option when checking out and swipe your Breakout Card, enter your PIN number and you’re done. A simple process like any debit card in your wallet.

What do I do if my Breakout Card does not work?

If the merchant is experiencing technical issues the cashier may need to void the transaction and attempt the process again. If your purchase authorization was declined you will receive an email at the address you provided during enrollment. That email will provide additional information and a telephone number for you to call for more information. There are several reasons why a transaction may be declined so our customer service team is here to help you.

How Long Does It Take For Funds To Clear my Account?

To ensure that you do not incur overdraft fees the funds for each transaction should be immediately available in your account. However, depending on your bank it may take up to five business days for the debit to process.

Will I receive a statement to track my spending?

You will have access to view your transactions by visiting www.MyBreakoutCard.com and logging into your account. You will not receive a statement. Your purchase receipt and bank statement are your official records for the transaction.

The receipt you receive for your purchase is the official record of your transaction. Please compare it to your bank statement to ensure accuracy.

Please call the number on the back of the Breakout Card if you have any questions regarding your transactions.

Can I cancel my account?

Yes, should you choose to close your account call the customer service number on your card. A representative will assist you with closing your account.

What if my card is lost or stolen?

In the event that you have lost your Card or it was stolen, contact us at 1-855-788-1797 as soon as you become aware of the loss. We will deactivate the card and replace it with a new one. For security it is always advised that you do not store your PIN with your card. Don’t share your PIN with anyone not authorized to use the card.

How do I request a new PIN?

Contact customer service at 1-855-788-1797. A representative will assist you with updating your PIN.

How do I log in to the Breakout Card website?

On your first visit to the site www.MyBreakoutCard.com, you will need to set up your profile with a username and password. You will also be asked to set up some security question and answers for password retrieval. Once you create your profile you will log in with your username and password.

How do I know how many Points I have?

Point balances are always available on www.MyBreakoutCard.com or you may call Breakout Reward Points Customer Service at 1-855-788-1797 to verify your balance.

How do I earn Points?

Simply use your Breakout Card at participating partners. You will earn Points based on your qualifying net purchases (purchases minus returns and/or other related credits). You will earn Points as long as your account is in good standing (that is, not delinquent, in default, closed, canceled, blocked, suspended or otherwise inactive and not available for use as a source of funding). You do not earn Points for cash advances,unauthorized or fraudulent charges or for fees of any kind on your card account. Credits to your Account (such as for returns of purchases) will reduce the Points available in your account.

When can I order awards?

You may order awards anytime during the Program as long as your account is in good standing (that is, not delinquent, in default, closed, canceled, blocked, suspended or otherwise inactive and not available for use as a source of funding) and you have enough Points to redeem the requested award.

What do I get for using the Breakout Card?

To get a Breakout Card, you must have a checking account in good standing according to Certegy®, an account-verification provider. You can apply for a card securely online and your card will be mailed to you. Enrollment requires your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, driver's license number, check-routing number, checking account number, social security number, date of birth and acceptance of the program terms and privacy policy.

How do I get a Breakout Card?

How long do I need to wait to use my Breakout Card after I apply?

Once you receive your card in the mail and you have established a PIN, you can start using the card immediately.

How do I update my address or email address if they change?

Visit www.MyBreakoutCard.com and log into your account. Select My Info from the navigation at the top of the website. Select Update My Information to update your address and email address.
